I have started working on the sequel to Wings of Fear. I have a long way to go. And now I am happy to annouce that  https://mixelslab.itch.io/ in a collaboration with me so I am very grateful. Would not be able to make such a game without you. I super happy with the start. So hopefully this will be a better and more fun game in many ways. Fingers crossed ๐Ÿคž

Update 17.08. 2026

I finally got alot more done on Level 7. Its finally coming to end. That was so much more work than I anticipated. So I am abit more motivated again. Thanks to the awesome Mixels! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

Update 07.06. 2026

I am a bit demotivated. I will of course get back to Wings of Fear II sooner or later. But now I am helping out with other projects. To be continued and thanks for your patience guys. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

Update 03.06.2026

Today I got abit further on level 7. I have been "stuck" for quite awhile. But Mixel came to the rescue. Now the pilot is running around to fetch fuel for his plane. So hopefully this can be a fun level and give more variation to the game. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž

Update 15.05.2026

I have been working on level 7. That is a level with alot of work and also I have struggled abit with motivation. But I will get there. So I will give you a little hint on what this level is going to be like. Still very early development.

Update 23.04.2026

I have finally got some more done on my game. And once again with help from Mixelslab (Michael Dawes) I now have water parallax, I am very pleased with how that turned out. I will post a video of level 5. I am actually finished with level 6 also (boss level) will kind of. And hopefully I will surprise everyone with level 7. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ˜ŠIf I can get it working. Anyway here is a video of level 5.

Also, there are some small framrate dips (slowdowns) but hopefully not gamebreaking. It will run like this on a standard A1200 with 2MB of fast.

Update 02.04.2026

I am currently working on level 5. And  for those who has not seen Amiga Vault's post. He did a tremendous job of converting my demo to WHDload, FPGA, AmigaDOS and CD32. Check out the download. :)

Happy Easter everyone!

Update 25.02.2026

I have a playable demo ready. Very exited to hear what you think guys! Its the demo that will be used in Amiga Cammy`s gamejam. Wish me luck!

Update 07.02.2026

Videos will come soon. I need to sort out the music and get permission. :D Stay tuned. In the mean while I have added some screenshots from level 1 and 2.

Update: 05.02.2026

As of now you can shoot the soldiers. But the whole point is to bomb them. So that will be next. :D

Hello everyone,

As agreed with the game developer and our great friend RoarTJ, whom we thank for choosing us and for his trust, we have converted his splendid new game into a WHDLoad version, following the usual standards of official WHDLoad releases as you can see on pictures above (specific slave, custom splash screen, hybrid icon OldIcon+NewIcon+ColorIcon compatible with all AmigaOS and readme file if available).

We've also converted the game into four other versions:
- AMIGADOS->LHA: Clean version with the essential game data that can run on any AmigaOS/Workbench
- AMIGACD->ISO: Specific to the Commodore Amiga CD32
- FPGA->HDF: Specific to Mist, Mister, and other FPGA-based devices with MiniMig cores
- THEA500->ADF/LHA/UAE: Specific to the Retrogamemedia THEA500 Mini console

While this latest version isn't currently being released because it's not yet high-performance enough (we're working on it), all the other versions work perfectly, and in agreement with RoarTJ, we're happy to share them for the benefit of the Amiga community ๐Ÿ™‚

Since the game is entered into the AmigaGameJam competition, and therefore it's not currently possible to publish our conversions in the download section here on itch.io, we've decided to share it on our GDrive repository, accessible at the following link: links:

ENJOY THIS AWESOME GAME IN THE AMIGA VAULT EXCLUSIVE FORMATS, TOO! ๐Ÿ™‚

I played it on my Amiga 1200, and the game is very good. It's challenging, with great graphics, and I love the music, which eased my frustration when I failed the mission again :) I will definitely come back to this one.

Thank you so much! Really appricate that. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

A new cool shooter is coming, awesome. I added it to my video along with other games released in February.

Thank you so much again. Really appricate that. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

The game already looks fantastic with its parallax scrolling and could become one of the best Amiga shooters of the year, just like its predecessor. We're really looking forward to the final version. Our German-language preview can be found at 01:30:49. English subtitles are also available. Subscription to our YouTube and Twitch channel is welcome. ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh.. that was sooo nice to hear! Thank you so much! Hopefully you found the first boss more balanced than in Wings of Fear 1, and not too hard. I have been thinking alot of the boss fights. Now I will have a little break before I continue with my game. I have many plans.  I am so grateful I have Mixel`s Lab on my team! He is a gem!

Unfortunately, I didn't make it to the final boss this time. ๐Ÿ˜‡ I wish we could have invested more time in the game. But with the large number of releases these days, finding the time is a huge challenge. We'll definitely make up for it by the final release. ๐Ÿ™‚

No worries at all. I am very grateful you tested my game. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™ Have a great day. ๐Ÿ˜Š And hope you have a wonderful trip to Japan. Hope I can visit Japan myself one day. ๐Ÿคž

And I will of course watch you video! :D

With the HDD version is there an option to quit to WB / AmigaOS without having to reboot my entire machine ?

No not at the moment. Sorry. I rushed to get the demo out for the gamejam. So I basically forgot. ๐Ÿซฃ This has been very stressful. But if I release another demo before the final game I will of course make a "quit" button.

Ok no worries - would really appreciate it if you could add the quit option next time !

Great :-)

Another masterpiece for A1200 :)

Thank you so much! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

Great game, thanks.

Thank you so much. But there is not supposed to be any slowdowns ๐Ÿซฃ Did you also use the WHDload version? ๐Ÿซฃ That is broken. So sorry for that.

I was using the HDD version downloaded at 11:14 AM my time. I was running the game on the FS-UAE emulator.

Awesome!

WOOOOOOOP

looking good.

Thank you so much! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

Ooooooooooooooooo

๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

Looking good. I agree with the AGA thing. In the world of emulation I don't see the point of not, imo but I'm not a purist haha. :D

Thank you! I have progressed quite alot the couple of days! So will show more soon.. hopefully next week. :D And yes I am not a purist myself. As long as it works an a Amiga 1200 (CD32) with fastram. I am happy! LOL

Heck yeah!
